This week I had the opportunity to shoot a pilot for a potential new television series with Mike Reno from Loverboy. SWEET! So who is Loverboy? Looks like you need to brush up on your 80′s rock & roll!
Funny enough my parents have a couple of his old vinyls at our house!
Though I can’t really go into details about the show right now, we had a fun two days running around the city experiencing life through the eyes of a former rockstar. Some highlights: meeting and shooting former hockey super star Trevor Linden at his Club 16 Fitness Centre and getting a private backstage concert of ‘Working For The Weekend’ with Mike Reno at Ceilis downtown.
I also managed to pull off a 40 minute glidecam shot which netted me a tasty reward. Fun!
This is what I love about film: the doors it opens. My camera has literally taken me around the world, introduced me to the most incredible people, and always manages to get me into places that I would ordinarily have no access to.
Pretty much I love my job.
